Karen Koeninger

Chief Operating Officer

Karen is the Chief Operating Officer and was a co- founder of the Leadership Development Institute in 1976, the forerunner of CERI.

Karen has served as JAG Senior Advisor since 2018 in the National Center for Evidence-based Practices Office. It was Karen’s responsibility to be the oversight of day-to-day operations of the Center, which is responsible for planning and organizing the National Training Seminar, Council of State Affiliates’ meetings, and the Board of Directors’ meetings.She also served as the Co-Director for the Leadership Awards Event and NSLA, JAG’s annual visibility and recognition event.

Karen taught at the secondary level, worked at the Oklahoma State Department of Career and Technical Education as an Assistant State Supervisor and has extensive experience with career and technical student organizations. She has managed conferences with as few as 25 and as many as 12,000 delegates. She received a Master of Science from Oklahoma State University and a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Central Oklahoma.
